Nor1527 — Impedance Tube
Normal-incidence absorption, transmission loss & acoustic impedance (50–6400 Hz) per ASTM E1050/E2611 and ISO 10534-2.
What it calibrates
- Sound calibrators / pistonphones: SPL corrected for pressure, temperature, humidity; optional distortion; short-term stability.
- Sound level meters: input range accuracy, level linearity, A/B/C/Z/Flat weightings, F/S/I (incl. Pulse), RMS detector, overload, inherent noise, Leq/SEL, dose, optional 1/1 & 1/3-octave filters.
- Microphones: sensitivity via insert-voltage; frequency response via electrostatic actuator (swept-sine) or acoustical method.

- Nor484 test unit with microphone power supplies, amplifiers & filters
- PC with 24-bit DAQ and dedicated calibration software
- Indoor environmental monitor (P/T/RH) for reports
- Actuator chamber with reference mic & insert-voltage preamp
