The RION NL-28 is an ultra-compact, one-hand sound level meter that puts genuine Class 2 accuracy in your pocket. Weighing about 160 g and measuring roughly 200 × 50 × 34 mm, it is built for fast, reliable spot-checks where a full-size meter is more than you need. It meets IEC 61672-1:2013 Class 2 (and JIS C 1509-1 Class 2), covers 20 Hz to 8 kHz across a 30 dB to 137 dB range, and offers A and C frequency weighting with Fast and Slow time weighting. Each measurement reports Lp, LAeq, sound exposure level (LE/SEL), Lmax and C-weighted Lpeak, updated every second on a clear 1.5-inch monochrome OLED display with a fast-responding bar graph. Up to 200 measurement sets are held in internal memory with preset measurement times of 1, 5 and 10 minutes and 1 hour; the meter mounts as a removable USB drive so you simply copy the CSV files over USB Type-C — no software required. Automatic calibration is supported with the NC-74 or NC-75 sound calibrator, and up to 999 calibration records are retained. Running about 9 hours on two AA batteries and supplied with the WS-14 windscreen and UC-52 microphone, the NL-28 is an ideal second instrument for inspectors, consultants and safety teams. Supplied and supported by Norsonic Asia for customers across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and export markets.
