RION NB-14 Noise Dosimeter
RION NB-14 personal noise dosimeter (IEC 61252, IEC 61672-1 Class 2) — a 72 g shoulder-worn badge measuring each worker's daily noise exposure (LAeq, LCpeak, DOSE %, Pa²·h) with 3 dB/5 dB exchange rates, for ISO 9612 hearing-conservation surveys.

The RION NB-14 is a personal noise dosimeter that measures the noise a worker is actually exposed to over the working day. At about 72 g it clips to the shoulder on the supplied crocodile-clip holder and records continuously, so you capture real exposure as the employee moves between tasks and areas — the basis of any hearing-conservation programme. It complies with IEC 61252 for personal sound exposure meters and IEC 61672-1:2013 Class 2, and supports occupational noise surveys to ISO 9612. Over a 58 dB to 143 dB range (LCpeak to 146 dB) and 20 Hz to 8 kHz, it reports the equivalent continuous A- and C-weighted levels (LAeq, LCeq), C-weighted peak (LCpeak), noise dose as a percentage (DOSE %) and exposure in Pa²·h, with selectable 3 dB or 5 dB exchange rates and 85 dB or 90 dB criterion levels to match local regulations. Data is stored every second for about 48 hours of measurement, and read out through the USB cradle into RION's AS-05 Viewer software for reporting; a mobile display app is also available. A built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives at least 12 hours per charge, and the badge is rated IP54 (excluding microphone) for −10 to 50 °C workplaces. The NB-14 complements RION sound level meters in a complete occupational-noise toolkit — the dosimeter for individual exposure, a sound level meter such as the NL-43 or NA-28 for area and source measurements.
